SLEC Sky 120  – Large Model Trainer

The SLEC Sky 120 Large Model Trainer has been designed as the ideal introduction to large-scale model aircraft flying, offering a practical and enjoyable route into petrol-powered models. Endorsed by the Large Model Association (LMA) as their preferred trainer choice, the Sky 120 combines stable flying characteristics with straightforward construction.

Designed with two builders in mind, the Sky 120 is perfect for newcomers looking to experience the satisfaction of building their own large model aircraft, while also appealing to experienced small model pilots wanting to progress into the unique world of large-scale radio-controlled flying.

The airframe is constructed from precision router and laser-cut balsa wood and Liteply, creating a strong yet lightweight structure. The two-piece wing design improves transport practicality and is joined using a carbon wing brace for added strength and rigidity.

Designed by Tony Nijhuis, the latest version of the Sky 120 includes upgraded M3 metal fittings, Robart hinges and an extra-strong undercarriage, providing enhanced durability and reliability for this impressive large model trainer.
