SLEC Bf108 Taifun Large Scale Model Aircraft Kit

The SLEC Bf108 Taifun is an impressive near 1/4 scale model of the famous 1930s sports, touring and communication aircraft designed by Robin Woodhead. Combining scale appearance with practical flying performance, this model recreates one of aviation’s most distinctive pre-war aircraft.

The original Bf108 Taifun was developed during the mid-1930s to meet the growing demand for a fast and efficient touring and communication aircraft, later becoming the inspiration for the legendary Me109 fighter. This SLEC version captures the character of the original aircraft while incorporating practical design features to create a rewarding large-scale flying model.

Designed for petrol power, the model is suitable for engines from 33cc to 50cc. The kit includes precision laser and CNC-cut components, additional wood required to complete the airframe, a fibreglass cowl, complete vac-formed detail set and a laser-cut cockpit control panel with instrument dials.

Although the Bf108 Taifun is straightforward to build and fly for experienced pilots, it is a large-scale high-performance low-wing model and is not suitable as a first aircraft. Pilots should have experience with low-wing scale or sport models before flying this aircraft.
