The Pilot Boat is a beautifully detailed model boat kit, measuring 34.5 inches (870mm) in length, and has been designed to provide an enjoyable and rewarding building experience for modellers of all abilities.
Manufactured from precision CNC laser- and router-cut birch plywood, the kit includes a balsa bow block that is shaped during construction to create the vessel’s distinctive bow profile. Full guidance for this process is provided within the illustrated instruction manuals, making it straightforward to achieve an accurate and authentic finish.
To guide you through every stage of the build, the kit includes full-colour, two-part illustrated instruction manuals together with an A3 part position plan. Also included are laser-cut clear acetate windows with precision-cut plywood frames and doors, a display boat stand, a vacuum-formed radar dome, bridge roof handrail wire and fittings, two styles of life rafts, a mast, and Pilot Boat adhesive transfers to complete the model with authentic finishing details.
A comprehensive Fittings Pack (Part No. PR820A), which includes navigation light holders and instructions, together with a Guard Rails Kit (Part No. PR820B) complete with full instructions, are available separately to add the finishing touches to your model.
