The Huntress is a beautifully detailed 1/8 scale model boat kit designed by Dave Milbourn. Measuring 34 inches (863mm) in length, this elegant model faithfully captures the sleek lines of the classic Fairey Huntress and has been designed to provide an enjoyable and rewarding building experience.
Manufactured from precision CNC laser- and router-cut Ceiba plywood, the kit includes balsa bow blocks that are shaped to create the Huntress’s distinctive double-curved bow profile, ensuring an accurate and authentic hull. Also included are laser-engraved decking, beautifully machined mahogany handrails with mouldings, a brass pulpit wire complete with a bending jig, a specially designed rudder, an etched brass working seat frame, clear acetate for the windscreen and windows, vacuum-formed seats and air intakes, Huntress side and dashboard transfers, full-colour two-part illustrated building instructions, and a display boat stand.
A comprehensive fittings pack (Part No. PR819A) is available separately to provide the scale details that bring the finished model to life.
