Build straight, square and accurately aligned model aircraft fuselages with the SLEC Fuselage Building Jig. This easy-to-use system includes adjustable moulded angles, captive nuts, bolts, washers and a self-adhesive grid for precise fuselage assembly.
The SLEC Fuselage Building Jig is designed to help you build straight, square and accurately aligned fuselages for RC model aircraft. Suitable for a wide range of designs, the adjustable jig makes it easy to hold fuselage sides securely while ensuring everything remains true during assembly.
The system is mounted onto a flat board measuring 381mm x 1220mm (15″ x 48″), made from 12–15mm (½”–⅝”) MDF, chipboard or similar material. A printed self-adhesive grid is applied to the board to provide accurate positioning. Holes are drilled where indicated, allowing the supplied captive nuts to be pulled into the underside using the included bolts.
Ten moulded adjustable angles are supplied, each featuring slotted mounting holes for easy positioning anywhere along the grid. Once in place, the angles are secured using the supplied bolts and moulded washers, providing a rigid and accurate framework for building straight, square fuselages.
The kit includes 56 captive nuts, 10 adjustable moulded angles, locking bolts and moulded washers, together with full instructions for assembly and use.
For larger or more complex projects, additional angles, captive nuts, bolts and washers are available separately. A pre-cut MDF building board is also available for those who prefer a ready-to-use base (Product Code: SL054C-S).
