A Grade Balsa Symmetrical Leading Edge

SLEC A Grade Balsa Symmetrical Leading Edges are manufactured in-house from carefully selected quality balsa timber to provide accurately machined leading edge stock for model aircraft construction. By processing our own balsa, we are able to maintain excellent quality, precise dimensions and a consistently high standard throughout the range.

The symmetrical profile provides an accurately machined rounded leading edge that requires minimal finishing before covering. It is ideal for traditional built-up wings and is particularly suited to sport, aerobatic and scale models where a consistent aerofoil profile is required.

Unlike our sheet, strip and block balsa, our leading edges are supplied in a carefully selected density appropriate for their intended use. This provides the ideal balance of strength, weight and ease of sanding without the need to choose between different grades.

As balsa is a natural material, slight variations in grain and colour are to be expected. Every leading edge is carefully selected and machined to ensure it meets our quality standards before being prepared for sale.
