SLEC A Grade Balsa Dowel is manufactured in-house from carefully selected quality balsa timber to provide lightweight, accurately machined dowel for model aircraft construction and general modelling. By processing our own balsa, we are able to maintain excellent quality, precise dimensions and a consistently high standard throughout our range.
Our balsa dowel is precision machined to produce a smooth, consistent round profile, making it ideal for a wide variety of modelling applications. Common uses include wing dowels, pushrods, tail booms, masts, scale detailing and numerous scratch-building projects where lightweight, easily worked timber is required.
Each dowel is carefully produced to ensure a clean finish and accurate diameter, making it easy to cut, sand and shape to suit your project.
As balsa is a natural material, slight variations in grain, colour and density are to be expected. Every dowel is carefully selected and machined to ensure it meets our quality standards before being prepared for sale.
