SLEC 3.0mm 4-Ply Birch Plywood is a high-quality plywood sheet manufactured in Finland, offering excellent strength, rigidity and dimensional stability for demanding modelling and woodworking applications.
Constructed from four layers of birch veneer, this plywood provides increased stiffness and durability compared with thinner grades, while maintaining the excellent machining qualities expected from premium birch ply. It is ideal for model aircraft construction, model boat frames, CNC routing, laser cutting, jigs, fixtures and precision woodworking projects.
This is BR grade Birch Plywood, similar in quality to B grade material, with knots limited to a maximum diameter of approximately 8mm. The surface of the material is sanded to provide a smoother finish than many standard plywood products, making it suitable for both structural components and visible model parts.
The plywood is manufactured using Class 1 glue, making it suitable for interior applications where a high-quality, stable plywood sheet is required. The consistent 4-ply construction provides excellent strength and resistance to warping, making it ideal for accurate model building and precision-cut components.
Suitable for both laser cutting and CNC machining, this plywood produces accurate and repeatable results for ribs, formers, bulkheads, frames, templates and custom-cut components. Laser cutting may produce a darker edge due to the natural characteristics of the plywood and adhesive used during manufacture. This can be removed by light sanding if required.
This material is PEFC certified, supporting responsible forest management and sustainable timber sourcing.
