2.0mm MDF Sheet – Laser & CNC Suitable

Our 2.0mm MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is a high-quality engineered wood board manufactured from resin-bonded wood fibres compressed under high pressure and heat. The result is a smooth, uniform material with consistent density and excellent machinability, making it ideal for precision work and a wide range of modelling and hobby applications.

This MDF has a very smooth, finely sanded surface, making it suitable for painting, varnishing, laminating and other finishing techniques. Its consistent structure also makes it easy to machine and shape accurately.

Manufactured to EN 622-5, this is an E1, non-structural MDF intended for use in dry conditions. It is suitable for both laser cutting and CNC routing, making it a versatile sheet material for model making, architectural models, templates, jigs and other precision applications.

MDF is an engineered product rather than a natural timber sheet, giving it a consistent appearance and density throughout the board. This makes it particularly useful where predictable cutting and machining characteristics are important.

The MDF is manufactured using wood fibres sourced through established sustainable and responsible forest management certification schemes.

Please Note

MDF is intended for dry interior conditions and is a non-structural material. It should be kept dry and protected from moisture during storage and use. As with all wood-based sheet materials, appropriate dust extraction should be used when cutting, sanding or machining MDF.
