Product Description

Our 2.0mm (3/32″) Cross Grain Birch Plywood is a high-quality BR/BR grade Finnish Birch plywood, manufactured using EN314-2 Class 3 exterior-grade glue and constructed from 4 plies for excellent strength and stability.

Unlike standard Birch plywood, the grain runs across the shorter length of the sheet, making it particularly suitable where increased stiffness is required across the width. This orientation is ideal for many model aircraft, model boat and engineering applications.

The Class 3 phenolic glue provides excellent durability and allows the plywood to be used in humid environments. It can be laser cut, although the exterior-grade glue will produce a darker burnt edge than interior-grade plywood, which can easily be removed with light sanding. It also machines cleanly using CNC routers, scroll saws and conventional woodworking tools.

The smooth sanded BR/BR faces provide an attractive finish suitable for painting, staining or clear varnishing.
