12.0mm Medite MDF Sheet – Laser & CNC Suitable

Our 12.0mm Medite MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is a high-quality engineered wood board manufactured from resin-bonded wood fibres compressed under high pressure and heat. It provides a smooth, uniform surface and consistent density throughout the sheet, making it an excellent material for precision work, model making and a wide range of hobby applications.

The finely sanded surface is suitable for a variety of finishes including painting, varnishing, laminating and veneering. The consistent structure of MDF also makes it easy to machine, cut and shape accurately.

Manufactured to EN 622-5, this is an E1, non-structural MDF intended for use in dry conditions. It is suitable for CNC routing and machining, making it a versatile choice for model making, architectural models, templates, jigs, fixtures, precision components and other projects requiring a strong, consistent sheet material.

Due to its increased thickness, 12.0mm MDF is particularly useful for applications requiring greater rigidity and durability.

Unlike natural timber, MDF has a uniform engineered structure with consistent density throughout the board. This makes it particularly useful where predictable machining, cutting and finishing characteristics are important.

Please Note

MDF is intended for dry interior conditions and is a non-structural material. It should be kept dry and protected from moisture during storage and use. Appropriate dust extraction should be used when cutting, sanding or machining MDF.
